The Lord Lieutenant Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst presents the Queen’s Award to ACS CEO Graham Higgins

Braintree company Airline Component Services has been awarded the 2018 Queen’s Award for Enterprise, International Trade, in recognition of its continuous growth in overseas sales.

The company was started in 2005 by Graham Higgins to provide rotable flying controls and structural components to the aviation industry. Working with its sister company, repair station ACS Aviation Industries, they offer a comprehensive repair management programme to airlines, air transport operators and aircraft spare parts traders.

In 2016, ACS sales division relocated its Heathrow functions to Braintree to join with the repair shop and allow greater co-ordination between the two companies. ACS has targeted growth in the European market which now accounts for 85 per cent of all overseas sales and in particular to markets are Germany, Italy, Turkey, Lithuania and USA.
