Iron-looking fencing surrounds the inside of rooftop gallery, breached by at least three rooftop perches, presumably for bringing items up from the central yard. Harwich Redoubt is a circular fort built in 1808 to defend the port of Harwich, Essex from Napoleonic invasion.
